Tapas Valencia is only a few minutes from the center of downtown and definitely worth visiting. The food choices are excellent and the portions are very generous. I love the bacon- wrapped dates, the tilapia, and the mahi-mahi. My husband loves the toast pints with Alaskan king crab and the skirt steak. Honestly, everything we’ve tried has been delicious and at a reasonable price. Those with a sweet tooth will love the desserts. The staff is so friendly that you feel like you are family.

Tapas Valencia is always a treat. Their Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely delicious along with Queso de cabra, pork loin topped with caramelized onion placed atop French bread. Of course, let’s not forgot the Sangria! All making it a great meal to share with friends.
Was looking for a Tapas place over Valentine’s Day. We found Tapas Valencia via an internet search. We were intrigued by the menu selection, along with the on line reviews. We liked the fact that we were able to make a reservation and when we arrived we were seated right away. Our server was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent suggestions on food, wine and beer. The added treat was the Flamenco guitar players and dancer. Truly added a lot to the experience. All the food was very delicious and a good size helping for 4 to try each Tapas.

This is the best tapas restaurant in town. The food selection is quite varied. You’ll find all the “usual” tapas you find at other restaurants in town, but also many that you don’t find elsewhere. The food is fresh, service impeccable, and it’s not too noisy to have a conversation. We were there on a Saturday night and there was even live music!
Having visited Valencia, Spain some years ago, I’d dreamt of returning to enjoy 3 things: the Valencia oranges right off the tree, the flan & especially the Paella Marisco. I always remembered how delicious these were there. Now I’ve found a place right here in Chicago with a wonderful ambiance & extraordinary food & service. Everything was superb. I’ll definitely be back.

Tapas Valencia is a great neighborhood delight in the South Loop. We have been there for gatherings of friends to share each other’s favorites. We have been there for family birthdays and found a great enough variety that even our picky grandchildren found food they really liked. We highly recommend it.
Everything about our dining experience was great: Authentic tapas in a wonderful, festive atmosphere. We will definitely return soon.

Always a pleasure to dine at Tapas Valencia. Expect to be checked on frequently by the manager, your server, and bus help. This visit, we tried “Gambas al Ajillo”; a delicious grilled shrimp tapas with a light, creamy, lemon sauce that perfectly complimented the dish. In addition, a container of their signature marinated olives accompanied us home.
We really enjoyed dinner at Tapas Valencia. I was surprised by live music and flamenco dancing on Saturday night. Our service was prompt and attentive to my needs and food allergies. He made great recommendations, which we really enjoyed. Two out of the three in our party returned to enjoy this restaurant again two nights later on the same business trip.

The half dozen times I have eaten at Valencia the service is excellent for their price point. They bring fresh plates, fill up bread & water as needed and keep the table free from water spills/drips. The food is interesting and tasty.

We frequent Tapas Valencia; going out of our comfort zone to try different offerings, and have never been disappointed. The service is measured; never hurried or”hovering”. Our favorites include the virgin mojitos, anything seafood, Patatas con Alioli, Dátiles con Tocino, among others. One of the few eateries in the S. Loop that opens early (4:00 pm) and provides reasonable valet parking. A true gem in a sea of “ho-hum-millennial-neighborhood-bar-food-restaurants”.
It was a great experience. My reservation was at 6:30 pm, but my family and I got there 45 minutes before. We got a table right away and the service was great. Even though the restaurant seems to be for adults only, there was no problem in taking our 7 and 3 year old daughters. it really exceeded our expectations. (good price, service, and great food).
We went to Tapas Valencia last night and had a wonderful time. It was a goodbye party to a post doc in our department. The restaurant was a great venue, roomy, not too noisy, the food and drink were great, and the wait staff attentive. We’ll be going back!

The food is always outstanding! The service from the moment you walk in is great. The live music was enjoyable and it’s done tasteful as to not interfere with dinner conversation. Love this place. I changed my reservation a few times and they accommodated me.
I love this place! The service was excellent and food delicious! The General Manger personally came over to our table to introduce himself, nice touch. The location in South Loop is great where street parking is free after 6pm. I’ll definitely be back!
I have been here a number of times and have NEVER been disappointed. The staff is so friendly (especially the manager and the server Francisco!) and accommodating, and the food is delicious! This is a perfect spot for a date, family dinner or gathering with friends.

We ordered 6 different small plates to share and I was pleasantly surprised how good each one was. Prices were reasonable and service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
A return trip and did not disappoint. Group ordered about a dozen dishes and all were delicious! Service can be tricky, but our waitress was a pro. Highlights were a goat cheese-filled pastry, bacon-wrapped dates and dessert. Profiteroles and lava cake. Someone in the kitchen knows their chocolate! Peach sangria was a great twist. Can’t wait to go back.

Our group tried Tapas Valencia last year while in Chicago attending a business conference. We were so impressed that we returned this year. We went around the table, each ordering a dish for a “round” of fine dining. Add a pitcher of sangria and it made for a fun experience.

Made reservations for 7 for both my daughters birthday. The food came out at appropriate times, allowing us to pass, enjoy and converse. Our waitress was knowledgeable and fun! And at the end, she provided ice cream puffs for the birthday girls….which was certainly enough for all of us! The food still has me drooling!!

Nikole, our server, was particularly attentive; especially with the several guests who can’t eat dairy; she brought out a special paella and other dishes ensuring that they were lactose free which was greatly appreciated.
